PESHAWAR:
Significant progress has been made in the investigation into the brutal murder of NADRA Assistant Director Fahad in Hayatabad, with police identifying all four attackers involved in the incident through CCTV footage, including the main accused.
The investigation team has traced the suspects’ movements, the routes used during the attack, and their escape path. Special teams have been formed under the supervision of the SSP Operations to arrest the accused.
According to investigators, the deceased was under regular surveillance and was being followed. Fahad usually travelled in a bulletproof vehicle accompanied by security guards. However, on the day of the incident, no guards were with him, a lapse the attackers exploited to target him.
Police sources said a detailed review of CCTV cameras installed at the crime scene and other locations enabled the identification of all four suspects, who are said to be from Peshawar. Investigators have also collected key evidence regarding their movements and escape routes.
