Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died aged 27.
The model passed away on Sunday, September 20, at a rehabilitation facility, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records obtained by the publication.
A representative for the Gerber family told People, “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
An autopsy has not yet been completed, TMZ reported, having first published the news.
Born in Beverly Hills in 1999, Presley was the elder brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber. He began modelling as a teenager after signing with IMG Models at 15.
His career included runway appearances for Moschino and Dolce & Gabbana, alongside a Calvin Klein campaign.
In later years, Presley spoke publicly about his experiences with mental health challenges, depression and substance abuse.
On the Studio 22 podcast, he said, “Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do.”
He also shared mental health awareness videos on Instagram, discussing recovery, healthy habits and the importance of finding support without judgement.
In a September 2026 Vogue interview, Kaia reflected on her brother’s openness about his struggles, describing him as “this absolute teacher”.
Presley Gerber is survived by his parents, Cindy and Rande, and his sister, Kaia.
