The FIA arrested two suspects in Aminpur Bangla for allegedly withholding part of BISP payments and registered a case against them.
According to the complaint, the suspects, Abdul Rehman and Inzam-ul-Haq, had paid a beneficiary Rs15,000 out of Rs 22,000 withdrawn through biometric verification and withheld the remaining Rs7,000.
A team raided their shop on Aminpur Bangla-Narwala road and arrested both suspects.
Devices, registered SIMs, mobile phones and verification slips were seized.
In another incident, police registered a case against the branch and an area manager of an organisation for harassing a woman who had applied for a loan.
According to the FIR, the woman alleged that Branch Manager Muhammad Hasnain had made inappropriate phone calls to her and insisted that she visit the office.
She claimed that two other managers had also contacted her repeatedly and threatened to withhold her loan.
The police registered the case under Sections 354, 509 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code and launched a search for the suspects.
The suspects denied the allegations, claiming that a colleague of theirs had manipulated the matter.
